can't send email messages on Vista

the message error reads:
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: ', Account:
'mail.comcast.net (1)', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I did the basic updates that Gary always suggests and it said it does not
apply.

As I read these posts, did not Gary tell you comcast has a different Port for smtp?

I have just been reading Gary's replies to other people and I don't think I
saw one for Comcast. Do you have that info?

I think I figured it out! For some reason I now have 2 accts and one outgoing
port was set at 587, the other at 25 - so I switched the 25 to 587 and it
works.
