Can't seem to clear the Outbox ... Help

When I reinstalled Outlook 2000, I inadvertently typed in the wrong internet email account password. After hitting send/receive, I realized that the password was wrong. I fixed the password. Now I can't clear the Outbox. I receive the following message: "The MAPI Spooler has already begun transmitting this message. (Account:'Internet E-Mail',SMTP Server:'smtp-server.neo.rr.com', Error Number:0x80040114). How can I clear the Outbox? I tried clicking work offline and restarting Outlook, to no avail.
