Can't seem to archive old Calendar entries in recurring meetings.

's Computer Specifications

The size of my calendar file is geting quite large and when I archive it, it
doen't archive old Calendar entries in recurring meetings. If I have a
recurring Calendar entry that started a year ago and is still ongoing, all of
the old entries are still there after I archive it. Any ideas?

Outlook won't archive any instances of a recurring meeting or appointment
until all of them are in the past and they all meet the archive criteria.
