hey, thanks for your reply, it helped a bit but the problem was, that when I
went to control panel/internet connections/network connections and
right-clicked my connection to see the status nothing happened, same as the
network tasks column on the left. the IE probs were not long lasting after
closing a couple open programs (yahoo messenger etc). but the network
connection in the notification area works fine, can see the status from
there and all, nothing unusual.
