I have had the same problem as others concerning the fact that they are able to see themselves on the network but can't see other computers. Most of the messages are saying how they disable the firewall and it worked. I don't have a firewall on any of the computers. I ran the setup wizard and everything, same workgroup, etc,..

If anyone has any idea of what's going on please help

Thanks

Fatony,

I know of several cases where disabling a personal firewall did NOT solve the
problem - in those cases, it was necessary to un install the firewall in
question (though proper configuration might have helped if the owner had RTFM).
But, if you truly don't have a personal firewall installed, then let's try some
other diagnostics.

How many computers are we talking about? What operating systems? EXACTLY what
error messages are you seeing? Only with proper diagnostic detail, can the
causes of your problems can be identified.

Please provide ipconfig information for each computer.
Start - Run - "cmd". Type "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" into the command
window - Open c:\ipconfig.txt in Notepad, copy and paste into your next post.
Identify operating system, by name and version, with each ipconfig listing.

And Fatony, please don't contribute to the spread and success of email address
mining viruses. Learn to munge your email address properly, to keep yourself a
bit safer when posting to open forums. Protect yourself and the rest of the
internet - never post your address unmunged.

How do you connect the pc's together? Peer2Peer or thru a hub? if you're
using peer2peer than you must use a cross wire cable.

i had this problem also but what i did was to change the
pc names to pcterm 1 and pcterm 2 etc. ran the wizard
and made sure all firewalls for xp were turned off. if
you have a router in place with a firewall you should not
have this problem.
