I'd go back to the concept of changing your desktop to something really
high. 1680x1280 (I'm guessing, i don't use higher than 1024x768).
But make the screen larger than it currently is and you'll now see that
window hopefully and can drag it to the left and get that position back
on the screen. Then resize the screen back.
