I have 3 windows XP based computers that are networked. 2
of them can see each other and share files but the third
one is unaccessible. THey're all in the same workgroup
with different names. I tried pinging using IP address
and they all ping fine. I try ping using computer name,
the two that are working are fine(I can ping using names)
but the thrid one cannot be pinged. I tried using net
view and same issue. Actually I get error 53. I went to
nsw.log on the computer tha tis giving me trouble and I
could see two messages:
1.attempting to set work group name " workgroup name not
setting"
2.Failed to share " shared Documents"
I've spent about 3 days trying to figure out what was
going on but ot no avail. Any help or suggestions where
to look or what to do would be appreciated.
