Create new folders for categories in the Programs menu and move the
original shortcuts/folders into the respective new category folder. Ex:
create a folder named games, move all original game folder/file shortcuts
into the newly created games folder. Create one for graphic apps, one for
audio apps, one for network apps, etc.
You can create the new category folders in C:\Documents and settings\All
users\Programs folder.
Right click Start, in the popup menu click Open All Users and then open the
Programs.
Right click in the Programs window, in the popup menu click New > Folder.
Type in a name and press Enter.
Drag/drop any folder/files that relate to the new category folder into it.
Do this for any new category folder you wish to make.
I think you get the idea.
