Have a new laptop that has been added to network with XP
pro.

Can access the internet via the network but can not see
the server. All DNS settings OK, computer added on Server
Win 2000 then added to workgroup because it would not
accept the domain name.

cannot see other computers on network, domain or server.

Please help.

Hi,

You will need to join the domain to browse resource in it.
You could ask the network manager to create an identical
user and password in the domain as the one you are using
to log onto your PC, but in the long run it is best to log
onto the domain.

Has a computer account been created in the domain ?
What message are you getting when trying to join the
domain ?

Regards,

Tim
