I have had a site up for over a year and one day i go to update it and
publish and the publishing window will not recognize my local files, and it
keeps kicking an error that it can't publish to my server, or the server is
not using FP extentions. I know it is not the server. Any ideas?

Explain

Your "local" site in the Remote Web Site View is the currently open FP web
Your "remote" site in the Remote Web Site View is the one you are publishing to

make sure in each you have selected in the drop down at the top named "View" - Folder Contents
