Hi I am running Office 2003 on XP SP2. I have several machines in a lab setup
and only 3 of them will not display the images in a shared database.

I am not getting an error message. Just empty box where the pictures should
be.

Have all office and windows updates.

any suggestions?
Laurie

How are you trying to display the images? If you are using either Object
Frames or hyperlinks, you are "at the mercy" of whatever software is
registered on that computer for the filetype of the image file. If those
three machines have different image software associated with the file
extension, that could well be the problem.

They are just images in a form. They have already tried installing the
graphics filters from the Office 2003 CD as well as PhotoEditor from Office
XP.

When the database was created, the pictures were inserted as Objects in jpeg
format. The database was created before Office 2003 was released so the
creator had PhotoEditor installed on her machine. Since then we have had to
deal with the images displaying properly but usually installing PhotoEditor
resolved the issue.

The form displays the pictures on the other 20 machines in the lab just
fine. The machines are (supposed to be) identical.

Also looking into an Office Add-in for Norton Antivirus to see if this could
be the problem.

Thank you for your response.
