We have 20 PCs that were built from an image with Windows XP SP2. We now need
to add a signature devise to the com port on all of them. They show the com
port in Hardware Manager but cannot see the device. I know it is an XP issue
because I installed from scratch on one machine and it saw the device.
These machines all have an Intel D915GAG motherboard with SATA drives and I
suspect the problem lies here. I installed the updated Intel INF files with
no result. I would appreciat any ideas that will keep me from redoing 20
machines
