Can't see/click tabs on layout tables in 2003

Hi There,

I am new to Frontpage, using the lessons on this site to learn. In the
layout table lessons the table is pictured with clearly visible tabs along
its perimeter that have info/dimensions, and if you click on these tabs they
are supposed to be editable. However, in my Frontpage, these tabs are so
tiny that nothing can be read from them and they won't be clicked. I tried
looking within the program for some unchecked box or something of that
nature, that would allow these tabs to appear and function as they are said
to, but I couldn't find any answers. Does anyone know how to remedy this?

Also, when I open a site page in design view, there is this black, 4 prong x
tool, that I'm not sure what it's function is, that wouldn't allow me to do
anything to a page. I stumbled on a solution to that; by switching to code
view and click anywhere on the page, when I then go back to design view the 4
prongy thing has turned into a cursor.
What is the function of that tool? Is there a someting that I can change to
have the cursor as default?

Thanks, any input would be appreciated.

Ana

Reduce the resolution you work at, or in properties for your monitor
increase the font setting. Notice that this will have effect every
where, not just in Frontpage.

Move the cursor away from the lines and it will return to normal.

Thank you Jens for responding.

I right clicked on my desktop and changed both the resoulution from
1600x1200 down to 600x800, and switched the font size from normal to extra
large, but it didn't solve the problem. The tabs are still illegible and
nonfunctional. What next?

Best,
Ana

FP2003: The Layout Tables and Cells options are unavailable (grayed out)
1.. You have View | Reveal Tags enabled - disable it.
2.. You are editing a page that uses Shared Borders. Layout Tables and
Cells and Shared Borders appear to be mutually exclusive.

HI Kathleen,
No, the tabs are not greyed out, and View | Reveal Tags is disabled. When I
draw a layout table, the boundaries are green, and the tabs are there (not
grey) but they are teensey weensey, like 1 pixel wide. There are no shared
borders yet because all I have is the one drawn, empty table. When you draw
a layout table, are the tabs immediately evident, like they are in the demos
on this site?

Thanks,
Ana
