Can't see backup help

Hi. Can anyone help? I wanted to find out how backup works in windows XP Pro,
and got the help file up. However, in that file there are lots of headings
which turn blue when I hover the mouse over them (and the cursor changes to a
hand sign), but nothing happens when I click OR doubleclick on them.
What is stopping the (what I presume are) links to other text coming up?
We have a peer-to-peer network of six XP home PCs and my recently upgraded
XP Pro PC.
