Can't see 2nd hard drive

After an XP crash. I could no longer boot. When in the
recovery console I could see files and directories on the
drive. Since I need many of the files on the drive, I
bought another drive installed XP on it and moved the old
drive to a slave drive. Although Device Manager and Disk
Manager see the drive, Explorer does not see it and Disk
Manager only allows the deleting the partition but does
not allow me to change the drive designation. By the way,
there is no drive designation of the 2nd drive. DM
correctly detects NTFS on it. The boot drive is also NTFS.

Any ideas on how to access the data on my second drive?

Thanks,

Chckles

Why don't you just reinstall the old drive and try a Repair Install
since you have the WinXP CD. Leave the second drive
disconnected when trying this.
