What is the exact text of the error message you're receiving? And your
Outlook version?

I am on Outlook 2000,but apparently my calendar is 1998. The error message is 'the form required to view this message cannot be displayed'

Try clearing the forms cache: Choose Tools | Options | Other | Advanced
Options | Custom Forms, then click Manage Forms, then Clear Cache.

I don't know what you mean by "my calendar is 1998."

I'm not sure I know what you mean by "under the taskpad." What is the
version number displayed in the Help | ABout Microsoft Outlook dialog?
