I can create Autotext entries in Quickparts but when I close Outlook they
disappear Having read various posts I tried to find the file normalemail.dotm
but it is nowhere to be found on my hard drive. I run standalone Office /
Outlook 2007, any ideas how I can get my Autotext entries to save? No problem
with Quick Parts at all in Word....thanks for any help.

Does Outlook close completely when you close the Outlook mail window? Use
the Processes tab in Task Manager to check. If it's not, try to discover
why. See http://www.slipstick.com/problems/close.asp or
http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/outlookdoesntclose.htm . If it does close,
try a new mail profile. See http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/newprofile.htm
..

Normalemail.dotx should be in %AppData%\Microsoft\Templates

Thank you Brian, I did find the file once I searched 'hidden' files!! and
have added the entry to that. I can pick now it up in Outlook by typing the
name and hitting F3 but when I click the Quick Parts button nothing happens
ie unlike Word where you can view all Building Blocks etc - is this what you
would expect or is something perhaps wrong with my installation.

What was the result of your investigation into Outlook's closing or not?
