I am on Vista and Access 2007

Using the OuputTo action in macros I export data from various databases into
Excel for a branch charity to send to a national head office. Suddenly all
the macros have failed. In all cases when they run I get the message
"Membership can't save the output data to the file you've selected" followed
by a list of five possible explanations and remedies that don't seem to
relate. (Membership is the title of the database) The situation is the same
if I create a new database and create new macros.

I have changed nothing. Restoring backup files and resorting to System
restore achieves no success. In the period since the macros were last used
successfully I have not installed any new software and MS updates have all
been security related.

This is going to cause a bit of a crisis next quarter if I can't find a
solution. Please give me your ideas please.

What happens when you manually export to Excel using the External Data table,
Export?

If all else fails, you could try changing your macros from OutputTo to
TransferSpreadsheet actions.
