I can no longer run 'TheWeatherChannel' after having no problems for many months

using it. I have not installed any new programs and am not running a firewall.
The only change is that I am now using AVG instead of Norton for my email virus
scans.
When I open the Weather Channel program, it may let me change one screen, but
usually it throws me out with a 'Program Error', saying that DeskTopWeather.exe
has generated errors and will be closed by Windows (Windows 2000 in my case).
They claim an error log is generated, but I see no information in my Event error
logs.
I tried removing and re-installing the program with the same results. What is
the
problem?

Any error log is likely to be specific to that program, and not neccessarily
a win event log, it is probably a simple txt file stored somewhere on your
PC.
Check the program options and see if it gives the path to the err log
