Hi

Hope someone can help ! My computer has suddenly stopped running exe
files giving the error message "This program does not have a file
associated with it. Create an association in the Folder Options
control panel"
The file association on windows explorer still shows this as an
"application" which I didn't think needed as association.
Then when I open the control panel to run the Folder Options tab, it
gives the same error message ! Icant run any control panel options or
exe files - is there an easy fix for this - I'm stuck !!

Many thanks
Jasper

Read the instructions. Then get...

Wes,

Thanks for the quick reply. I dowloaded the file and opened regedit
using the workaround. The reg file reported as being successfully
installed into the registry then I rebooted the computer - still
getting the same error message on trying to open any EXE file. Tried
it all again - same result. Maybe looking at a re-install here, it
looks terminal :-(
