Running XP and have some corrupted files. Schedule
chkdsk to run at startup, nothing happens. Searching
TecNet, Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in
the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning
of the article (Windows XP PRo and Home versions.

Any suggestions.

You know, you could take pity on those of us you hope will help you, and
point us at the particular article you are talking about.

As the article says, MS are still looking into it.

Can you run chkdsk from the command line without the "/f" parameter that
ends up causing a reboot?

As a very quick temporary test, have you considered disabling or even
uninstalling your antivirus software to see if thats interfering? (be sure
to replace it afterwards if you try this!).

Are you running any particular computer maintenance or hard disk monitoring
tools?
