Hi,

I had to rebuild my PC after a head crash - luckily all mail files were
backed up -
and now cannot load archive folders. Mailbox.pst is fine and the archive
folders are in
the directory, but I am at a loss as to how to have them displayed in
Outlook.
Import/Export don't help and Create New Folder doesn't either.

What do I do now ?

Bill

Assuming you have copied the pst files back to your HDD and removed any
Read-Only attribute, in Outlook just go to File-Open-Outlook Data File and
navigate to where you copied them to.

Outlook will open those files following your steps, but the multi-megabyte
files
appear empty to Outlook - what am I missing ?

When this happens, it's a sign that the method you used to back them up may
have damaged them. If Outlook was open at the time of the crash or when you
made the copies, then there is a good chance the files are ruined. Try
using the Inbox Repair Tool (SCANPST.EXE), but I don't hold out a lot of
hope.
