hi,

sometimes an app window (IE, for example) I can't restore the window, it
will only show up if it's maximized; if I hit the little icon w/two
windows on top right of the window so it doesn't occupy entire desktop
it disappears... this can be a bit annoying..

thanks..

You probably moved the window off the visible area of the desktop.
R-click Taskbar and use Cascade Windows to relocate it after you clcike
the "Restore Down" (little icon w/two windows on top right of the window)

no, no.. this happens all the time, with other apps too.... the
window is maximized, I hit the the icon w/the two screens to so window
is smaller, but it gets mimimized, only way to get it back is to
maximize it.. when I right-click on window in taskbar "restore" is
grayed out... thank you....

Of course the "restore" is grayed out, the window IS in the "restore"
state. R-click the task bar and Select "Cascade Windows".
