Can't restore backup of BCM

I had BCM on old laptop with XP. Old laptop 'died' and now have new laptop
with Windows 7.
Installed BCM and wanted to restore data from backup but get an error
message saying "cannot restore this database because you were not authorised
to backup
or restore databases when this one was originally backed up ..."

On old and new laptop I have logged in as administrator.

Can anyone help please?
