Can't restart app

I'm testing a new app which seems to run perfectly on both the
emulator and on my PPC2002 device. If I shut down the app on the
device, I am unable to restart it. Other programs work fine.

When I click on the file name in file explorer, there is no response.
Repeated clicks (10-12) finally yield a dialog box with the message
"Cannot find app.exe or one of its components. Make sure the path and
filename are correct and all the required libraries are available".

At this point, everything's pretty well hosed up and if I close File
Explorer, it won't start either--it gives the same message as above.
I'm sure I'm doing something to hose up the OS but I can't figure out
what. Any ideas?

Hi Houston,

This may seem like a silly question, but have you verified that the
application is out of memory via Settings->System->Memory->Running Programs?
Sometimes when applications have problems freeing resources during shutdown
they get 'stuck' and exhibit strange behaviours such as this.

No, it does not appear in 'Running Programs'. I also suspected that
it is a problem with freeing resources but other than trial & error, I
don't know how to determine what the startup problem could be. Is
there any way to determine what's going on when the O/S tries to start
the program?
