Can't rename Inbox/Sent folder in Outlook 2003

I'd like to rename my Inbox and Sent folder. I am able to rename some folders
within PST files by File / Folder / Rename, but that is greyed out for these
folders. Also I am able to rename some folders by right-clicking the folder
name and using Properties / General - but not the Inbox or Sent folder.

The reason is that I have two principal incoming mailboxes, one from the
RoadRunner (RR) service and one from Gmail. I'd like to show the Inbox and
the Sent folder for both these services in my Favorite Folders list at the
top of the folders list. Specifically, I'd like to see:
Inbox - RR
Sent - RR
Inbox - Gmail
Sent - Gmail

Is there any way to accomplish this, or something similar? Otherwise both
inboxes and sent folders have the same name, and it will be difficult to
identify which is which, is which except to select them from the All Mails
list down below.

Thanks.

I use several different mail accounts in Outlook too. The way I solved this
problem was to use named sub-folders for each account. Right-click on Inbox
or Sent, select New Folder, and call each folder what you want. Just leave
the main Inbox 'expanded' by clicking on the little plus sign next to 'inbox'
so you can see all your inbox folders.
You can now assign rules so that messages received for each account go into
the correct folder. Go to Tools menu, Account Settings (email tab), and
highlight the account - you can change the folder messages are delivered into
using a button near the bottom of the window.
I'm sorry, I don't know if you can do this for Sent folders (you can
certainly make new sub-folders but I don't know how to make the new rule) but
I use Search to find messages I've sent and its easier to search one Sent
folder. You can see which account you originally sent a message from by
viewing the message. I suppose if you want you could periodically search the
main Sent folder for your email address and just highlight then drag all the
messages into the correct new folder.

Hope this helps, good luck.

Thanks. I wanted to confirm that I'm not overlooking some other way to rename
these folders. Apparently not.

Thanks.

I have a query that is along these lines. I have created sub folders and most
have rules. I am unable to rename, move or delete any of these folders. When
I try (using the usual means) there is a red cross shown on the folder and I
am told the folder is full. Some folders have no contents!!! Any suggestions?
I am baffled.
