Hello,

I installed the backup utility for a user. I've since added a new user and
deleted the first user, and now I can't install or remove the backup utility
for the new user. Can someone help please? This is on Win XP.

Thanks,
Ed

"can't install or remove" - how so? What happens when you try?

When I run the executable to install the utility it says "it has detected a
previous version that you must uninstall 1st. In order to uninstall, answer
'yes' to the next question."

"Do you want to uninstall?"

I click Yes, and it says "This action is only valid for products that are
currently installed. To install this download, please uninstall previous
version using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel."

And I don't see the utility under Add/Remove Programs.

That sounds a bit difficult! I would try the Windows Installer Cleanup
Utility, and see if removing the installer information for the backup
utility would allow the new install.
