to free up disk space I removed some programs. I must have removed something
important so I used 'Restore' four times. This fixed my original problem but
now I can't remove programs using the 'add/removed programs' under 'control
panel'. I have Adobe Reader 9.1.1. but my computer can't use it when needed
and I can't remove it and reinstall! It takes up alot of space on my older
computer. I have Windows XP home edition 2002 service pack 3. Help!
Thank you

Hello,

What happens when you try to reinstall? Any error messages?

You may want to post here instead - http://forums.adobe.com/index.jspa -
since it relates to a Adobe problem

Somehow the "remove" feature of Adobe Reader got removed but not the rest of
the application. To get the "remove" feature returned, you have to
re-install Adobe Reader. Then you should be able to remove it.

I know, it sounds weird. But that's the way computers work.

If none of the suggestions given so far work, there is possibly another
option. Reinstall the problematic application and then use the uninstall
link. I have had this problem in the past and that is how I got round it.

Good luck

Martin
