I can't remove a progem PCcillin. Why?

I was trying to remove an application PCcillin. But Windows showed me an
error
that the program is incomplete while installed. Are there any other ways I
can remove the program? Except the Add/Remove program. Because I am going
to
install another virus scan software, Symantec. Thus the PCcillin is able to
be totally
removed. Though, I need a safe way. Anyone could give a suggestion?

Thank you!

Only an idea. And if it is possible. Install the program again,
reboot, then attempt un-installation. Some installers however will
refuse to install "over" what appears from here to be a "damaged"
installation.

Better, seek information/assistance from the publisher's FAQs or
technical support.

Thank you, Mark.
Your idea is as what I am thinking. But it needs a new software pack.
Anyway, I am trying to get one to try and post the result later.

I have tried by using an upgrade version, but before I install the new
upgrade, I need to remove it. It is filed.

??? The vendor has nothing?

The scope and process for manual removal is beyond news groups such
as this one. Expecially for someone like me that hasn't used
PCcillin is many years.

In my last post, I mean I failed to remove the PC-cillin in my laptop.
Does anyone have other ideas to uninstall a software except using the
Add/Remove
program? Thank you, Mark!

Proper removal will be done by the vendors uninstall program, contact
PCcillin for particulars.

Bob,

Thank you! I got some intructions from PC-cillin. I finally know doing
unistallation
on Windows for the PC-cillin 2000 will have problem some time. Get rid of
them from registry is a way to solve the problem. I found the way from their
web site.
Thank you.

Hi Bob, Thank you!
I have tried to use those instructions from TrendMicro for the PC-cillin.
But the result I got is the software was removed, however it seems
I didn't totally remove the whole package. I mean I still see an item
shown a PC-cilin, but both add and remove are in gray, in the list of
Add/Remove program. Then, I can't do anything further. When I installed
a new virus scan software, it gave me messges that some files got virus
and killed. But after, the new scan software can't work correctly. It is
supposed
to be related to the problem of residual item of PC-cillin in gray. I hope
someone
can give some opinions. Thanks a lot!
