After uninstalling Norton Utilities I seem to have lost the buttons for
modify/remove programs from within the add/remove .cpl applet.. and what is
in there doesn't appear to be current!

XP seems to be running fine and I can still install applications, but just
can't remove them via the control panel applet..

HELP!!!!

The applet lists many programs, but NONE of them can be removed via that
applet...

Thanks for any help or ideas!

I don't know a fix for this problem but someone may. If not, perhaps this
info will be helpful. The add-remove applet is merely a directory as to
where the uninstall file is located for a particular program. Generally if
you go to the program folder, you will be able find the file (normally will
have uninstall or unwise in the name) to click to uninstall a program.

I hope somebody knows a way to fix this.. I can uninstall some of the stuff
via 3rd party uninstallers, and all new things I install I can uninstall..
also with 3rd party uninstallers.. but nothing can be removed via
Microsoft's add/remove application.. in fact the MS application shows many
things that I am not sure are even installed!

Thanks!
