My computer won't recognize my DVD-RAM drive (Panasonic LF-
D521). Device Manager shows that it is using the driver
disk.sys. This needs to be updated to the Panasonic
driver meiudf.sys, but W2k won't let me do it. I've tried
uninstalling the driver and windows keeps reinstalling
it. I've gone into the system32\drivers directory and
deleting it, and it comes back at next boot. The
meiudf.sys driver is in that directory also, but windows
ignores it in preference for the disk.sys file. The
update driver wizard won't do it either!
How can I get rid of disk.sys???
