That's part of the problem. The cells have the style, borders set to
none but the preview buttons in the Borders dialog are still set. If I
manually switch them on and then off they reset as expected. The table
has hundreds of cells so I was hoping to avoid all the work. There
seems to be a limit on the number of cells that can be changed at the
same time.
