We upgraded our Domain Controller to Windows 2003. Everything working fine
except one of our Windows 2000 Advanced Server (our database server). It was
poor performance ,it takes for ever to logon to DOmain. So we decided to
remove from the domain and rejoin the domain. We have problem rejoining the
domain. I deleted the computer account from Domain Controller still I
couldn't join the server to DOmain.
I can ping the DC by name and ipaddress from this database server. It has a
static IPaddress with the same subnet as DC. I can ping database server from
DC by IPaddress. Is there a tools available to fix this problem. We want to
keep the server name same as before. You help on this issue is greatly
appreciated.

What do the ping time and the tracert look like? Too long? Also, since
this is AD, how is the bandwidth doing on the trace? Finally, make sure you
can ping reasonably the local dns server and that the clocks on the system
and the authentication server are within 5 minutes of each other.

Also, confirm that all current Sps and patches are loaded, and no nasty
local firewalls are turned on...
