What do the ping time and the tracert look like? Too long? Also, since
this is AD, how is the bandwidth doing on the trace? Finally, make sure you
can ping reasonably the local dns server and that the clocks on the system
and the authentication server are within 5 minutes of each other.
Also, confirm that all current Sps and patches are loaded, and no nasty
local firewalls are turned on...
