Can't recover a "pst" file

I have a problem running my Outlook 2007 program, my default "pst" file is
mailbox.pst, whenever I run the outlook an error appears and says to run the
scanpst tool, I have runit but no change in the file still corrupted, can
someone help me out with this please Im trying to recover old important mails.

Someone has say to me to use a recovery tool downloaded from the internet in
link shown below I have found a discussion that says to download the program,
I have run it but still I cant recover my mails

I would suggest Ontrack Easy Recovery Tools to recover the PST. It works
with OSTs too.

So I guess there is no alternate solution for recovery than the use of this
program??
