can't receive pictures on msn version 7.0

everytime some one sends me a picture in jpeg extension, i can't receive this
because my pc doesn't allowe it---->isn't save to download this.
When they change it to an text extension, then i receive the picture without
a problem. I already closed down the anti virus program ( norton antivirus
2003 with always live update) but no results !
Where can i change all this, so i also can receive jpeg extentions ?
pls help !!!!!
