I can't receive any emails but I have no problem sending. I'm not sure what
happened. everything seemed to be working just fine. Sometimes I get this
error code:

Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3,
Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19

While other times it asks me to log in over and over, and I get this error
code:
(I know I am using the correct user name and password)

Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR login failed', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

Log on using secure password authentication is not checked

I've uninstalled McAfee and installed AVAST. I've also tried using windows
mail live and thunderbird...no luck with those either.

I've had this problem in the past but was able to fix it. It's been weeks
now and I still can't fix this. Please help! I'm desperate!

Any uninstall of McAfee should be followed up by using their debris removal tool:
http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocumen...107083&lc=1033

Your Avast antivirus was probably installed with its default install option.
If so, uninstall it, then reinstall, but select 'custom' install, which then
allows you to unselect installing its troublesome email scanning module.

If after doing both of the above you still get an error, delete that account,
restart Windows Mail, then recreate the account.

Is your anti-virus application configured to scan incoming (and outgoing)
mail?

Not sure what happened...

I used McAfee removal tool, uninstalled AVAST, then reinstalled it using the
custom settings...still nothing. So I tried removing my email account
altogether ( which I have done in the past) and still nothing.
However, I accessed my email account online at the same time my windows
mail was trying to log in. I have no idea what happened but as I typed in my
username and password (for the millionth time) for windows mail, all the
emails on my internet account dissapeared and they showed up in my windows
mail account. I'm not sure what happened or how it happened but my email is
working again.
Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.

You're very welcome. Thanks for reporting back.
Sometimes it takes a reboot for all changes to take effect.
