Help please- I have spent hours on the phone with Verizon tech support. My
windows email is set up correctly, I use Avast and have disabled the email
scan, and I still cannot receive the emails that are in my verizon.net email
account. Windows mail connects to my verizon account, gets the email, but
disconnects before they get to the windows mail. No error messages show up,
but no emails either? Anyone else have this problem, or any suggestions? It
is a new computer.

Thanks, Nancy M

Uninstall Avast and then re-install without the email integration (scanning)
Disabling will not always work.

Yes- I have outlook on my old computer with xp which isn't working- how can I
get into the outlook account from another computer to delete it? I have the
documents & settings saved on a disk, but Vista doesn't support outlook

Vista supports Outlook (2003 and later), but not Outlook Express.
If your other computer is not running, don't worry about it because
it can't download or delete your messages from the server.

Verizon's email support is a bit of a mess because they have
four different email systems. You will have to pick out the
one that applies to you and follow the prompts:
