Are you using POP to access your Yahoo account? If so, the only server-side
folder that POP can access is the Inbox folder. POP only understands the
concept of a mailbox, and that doesn't have folders. There are no commands
in POP to select or navigate to folders. So perhaps your test e-mail ended
up in the Junk, Spam, or Trash folders up on the mail server that you can
see using the webmail interface to your account but which a POP client will
never be able to access.
Many spam filters will see e-mail sent from yourself and to yourself as
spam. So use the webmail interface to your account to see if your test
e-mail got moved into a folder other than the Inbox.
