cant receive e mail through windows mail

Just bought a new laptop and tiscali is my internet server i have tried to
set my email account up so i can send and receive emails through windows but
all my mail is going to tiscail mail, i have checked setting and windows
mail is set as my default dont no what else to do any help would be
appreciated.
