Try opening Regedit and see if you can find it under this location:
HKLM-System-CCS-Enum-USB
Check under each and see if you can find one with the description of
your MP3 Player. If you find it, delete the folder that it is in (the
one a directory up labeled Vid_Xxx). Reboot and try reconnecting it.
