Does anyone know why I can see some people's instant
messages when they first pop up (when the conversation
box isn't open) but once the box is open the text of
their messages doesn't show up? I have the new version
of Messenger for Windows XP. Is that incompatible with
other versions?

Do you mean that when you open the conversation window after they've sent you a message, it's
blank?

they might have a more updated version and using a higher
version of msn/windows messenger... some images cant be
seen on older versions..so the blank messages may be are
images that are not supported.

what version are you running? (to find this out just go
to the messenger window then go to "help" then "about msn
messenger" {it can also say "about windows messenger"}
then a pop-up screen should come up with information as
well as the version number)
