For some reason, I cannot read my email messages on Outlook using my
college's or gmail's server. It opens fine and I can delete my messages, but
that's about it. How can I fix this problem?! I've deleted all of my sent
items and deleted items or else I wouldn't be able to receive any messages.

I had same error -

Go to Control panel - mail - profiles - create a new profile.
You will have to it set up to point to your pst files and re-set any pop
mail accounts you had but it works. Make sure you tell the system to use the
new profile.

One catch is if you keep messages on the server, when you log in to the mail
system it will re-download all of your messages that are on the server
creating many duplicates. (I had 345) I suggest you take all messages from
your in box and put them in a new folder (temp inbox) - let the system
download all the messages on the server and then delete the duplicates.
