Installed new hard disc and created slave disk of
original. Now all I get is 2nd hard disk needs formating.
Have important info on 2nd disc. So how can I format/read
2nd hard disk without losing all the info on it.Cant
afford the extravigant prices shops want me to pay.

Its probably there, boot to xp cd,recovery,or go to run,
type:cmd At the curser typeiskPart
Then type:list disk or list volume
If its intact(hasnt been formatted) DiskPart will show
it,if you need help,type:HELP When thru,type:EXIT
Make sure the jumpers are set on both hds correctly.
