Hi John :-)
That didnt work either, back to square 1 !!!!!
John
Then try the following, we'll try a different approach:
Reset the router if you have one.
and..
Try reducing the MTU size of the router, if you are able to successfully
connect to sites w/o the router.
also..
Try to reset the TCP/IP:
Click Start, run, type "cmd" (with out quotation marks) and click OK.
In the DOS window, type the below command and hit enter.
netsh int ip reset c:\Changes.log
IF you have Zone Alarm...right click on the ZA Icon on the system tray, down by your clock, and be sure that the "Stop all internent activity" is not checked.
Zone Alarm Pro can block access to Internet

Try adding your IE browser to your Programs list anew. Go to your Programs List, locate IE, right click on it, then click to 'remove'. Make sure your ZASS program alerts are on then open IE. You should get an 'access' program alert, click allow and the 'remember this' box.
Have you granted Generic Host Process and Windows Explorer 'access' in your Programs List? Also double check your DNS server IP with ipconfig/all again and make sure the correct IP has been entered.
also.
Add your DNS and DHCP servers to the Trusted Zone of the firewall zones panel. Finding DNS and DCHP servers, etc
1. Go to Run type in command , hit 'ok', and type ipconfig /all then press enter. In the returned data list will be a line DNS and DHCP Servers with the IP address(s) listed out to the side.
2. In ZA on your machine on the Firewall>Zones tab click Add and then select IP Address. Make sure the Zone is set to Trusted.
3. Click OK and then Apply and see if that works to fix it..
Use the one for your system:
You should also get a copy of WINSOCKXPFIX available at:
http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html
and
WinsockXP Fix- WinXP

with instructions, at

also... From LavaSoft- all versions of Windows-
http://digital-solutions.co.uk/lavasoft/whndnfix.zip
(NOTE: It is reported that in XP SP2, the command netsh winsock reset
will fix this problem without the need for these programs.)
or Winsock Fix Utility
if that does not work, then
First., download and install BHODemon from
http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm
Your problem may be caused by a bad BHO.
If this does not resolve the problem, the do the following:

Hope this helps :-)
