Can't put graphics on my signature

Hi,
I am trying to use a signature with a logo image and text on Windows Mail
(Vista Home edition) but I can't get it to work. I followed the instructions:
Tools, Options, Signatures, Insterting a File which has been saved as HTML,
but it just doesn't show up.
I created the signature on a word document which I saved as a web page to
put it in HTML put this doesn't work.
Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
