Hi,
I'm using Frontpage 2002 with Win2000
I've published my Web several times, with FP publish option.

But now, when I want to update it and I click on the File/Publish option, my
hard disk begins making a soft noise (something a bit stronger than a
cooler ) and FrontPage freezes.
When I close it with Ctrl/Alt/Del the noise stopps.

I tried publishing other Webs in the same host with no problem.
I reboot and tried again with the same strange consequences. Only once I
received the message "the folder _vti_pvt could not be created".

Please I need your help to publish my site !
And I would like to know if the software can influence the hardware in this
way ?

What changes did you make to the site that won't publish??
Did you add any scripts or anything to any of the pages??

Try this: Close FrontPage.
Do a windows search for files named *.web and delete all found.
Then search for *.tmp and delete all found.
Then delete your Temporary Internet and History files.
Then open FrontPage and try to publish.
