Cant protect page printing?

I have an old printer (raven pr-9104), don't care to buy
a new one. Worked fine with win 98. But with xp, pages
are not protected and i can't seem to do anything about
it. First page is fine, then the second one finishes on
top of the third one, and it goes on. Tried what they
said in the help files, but i dont think my printer has
enough memory to activate "protect page". Can i do
something about this, other then buying a new printer?
