Can't print after Windows Update of Dell 922 drivers

Windows Update showed a new driver for my Dell 922 printer. I updated, and
there was a problem. Needed to do a System Restore to get windows to work
properly. But from that point on, I'm unable to print. I went to the Dell
support site and re-installed the drivers. Even worked with the Dell support
help desk.

When I try to print, everything appears to work fine. The display pops up
saying that's it's sent to the printer, the progress bar goes to 100% and the
pop up goes away. But nothing prints. The printer looks ready and appears
fine when I look at the status (and nothing is in the queue). I've tried to
reinstall the drivers a number of times.

Printer works fine on another computer, and I'm able to print on it from
this computer across the network, but I can't attach it locally (it's a usb
interface).

Support rep felt I needed to re-install Windows. Another other solutions?

Thanks.

Did you remember to include Step 4? If not, all you've done is reinstalled
the old corrupted drivers.
