I am having problems with the Microsoft online support forum (http://
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...&lang=en&cr=US
)

I am signed on, and looking at the main Discussions in Excel page. I
click on New / Question, but then I am redirected back to the same
page. I see Click Here to Install Silverlight, which might have
something to do with it, but even after installing Silverlight, I
still get the Click Here to Install Silverlight, with no change in the
way the site behaves.

I have had a variety of problems with this site, although I have
sometimes been able to use it successfully.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Here's another way - try going through Google Groups:

http://groups.google.com/group/micro.../topics?lnk=li

Hope this helps.

Pete

Pete - Thanks. I didn't realize this the Google group and the
Microsoft forum were the same Usenet group.

I have been successful using Google Groups - in fact, that's what I'm
using now. Do you know whether there's any way that I can suppress my
email address using Google? I know that I can do that through the
Microsoft forum (or at least I could, when I could get it to work!).

Also, the Microsoft forum is (was) able to notify me by email of
responses. Is that possible accessing the group using Google? Or is
there some other way to access it? (My email program is Outlook, if
that matters.)

Thanks.
