I'm using Win XP Home SP2 and I'm trying to play a cassette tape on my Sony Walkman
through my PC's speakers. I've connected the mic socket on the Walkman to the line in
socket on my PC. I've also selected "Line In" on the mixer for playback and have set its
volume to maximum. However, when I press play on the Walkman no sound is coming
from the speakers. Can anyone advise please on what I might be doing wrong?

Connect your Walkman via its headphones socket, not its mic socket !

Thanks Jerry. Sorry, my mistake - I'm acutally using the headphone socket but
wrote mic in error.
